Softlite Mad Lab Hybrid Softboard - 8'0

The Softlite Mad Lab 8'0 combines a hybrid construction with a funboard template to create a more performance-focused softboard suited to a wide range of riders and wave conditions.

Its hybrid construction blends characteristics of fibreglass surfboards and traditional softboards, resulting in a board that is stiffer and thinner than a typical entry-level softboard while still retaining the forgiving feel and softer construction associated with this category. This helps improve speed, responsiveness and overall control.

The funboard outline is slightly more pulled in through the nose and tail than Softlite’s Mini Mal shapes, giving the Mad Lab a more manoeuvrable feel for progressing intermediates and experienced surfers. The shape is also better suited to steeper or more powerful waves than a fuller, more traditional softboard template.
