Torq Channel Islands X-Lite 2.0 Pod Mod Surfboard - 6-6

The Channel Islands Pod Mod X-Lite is a fast, versatile small-to-medium wave surfboard based on the original CI Pod. This updated shape is designed to be ridden shorter and wider, with extra volume carried forward to help with paddle power and wave entry without sacrificing performance.

The widened tail adds glide in smaller surf, while the flat entry into concave vee helps the board move quickly from rail to rail. Its modern fish-style outline combines low rocker, a fuller nose, wide midpoint and traditional swallow tail, giving it speed and flow across a wide range of everyday conditions.

The five-fin setup allows the Pod Mod to be ridden as a quad for extra speed and drive in weaker waves, or as a thruster when more pivot and turning control is preferred.

Torq’s X-Lite epoxy construction is designed for performance-focused boards, offering a lighter and stronger alternative to traditional PU/polyester construction. The updated build includes a thinner Shield Skin for weight reduction and an additional wood layer between the deck biaxial layers, improving ding resistance without creating an overly stiff feel.
